1. What are the major differences in these two versions?
The major differences are the 1st one doesn't stand out and attract the viewers attention. The lines are to thin and the name "the mix show" is not very clear. To me it looks more like a pencil sketch then an actual logo for a company. The second one really pops. The use of black makes it stand out in a simplistic way. The letters around the DJ instead of on the disk are much more clear.
2. What design issue caused a change in the final artwork?
The text in the 1st versions text is very small and hard to read. the improvement of the bold letters in the second version makes the logo a much stronger and a memorable piece of art.
